I craft my mobiles like BEES AT WORK using a multi-layered waterfall design. To create the glowing yellow and gold pieces, I reclaim broken vintage plates, then tumble and drill the glass right in my studio. The raw glass catches the light like dripping honey, turning rigid material into a fluid, dancing display. I hand-knot sturdy sage-green cord into four decorative arms, finishing each with a soft tassel. These cords hang from a hand-woven 6-inch macramé ring, while playful bumblebee beads hover around the glass flowers near the center. Yellow glass beads securely anchor every single element in place.
