BUTTERFLIES – Handcrafted Glass Mobile

Bring the warm, soothing energy of nature indoors with "Butterflies."  This handcrafted hanging mobile is designed to catch light and movement effortlessly.

To create the frosted leaves in seafoam, mint, and aqua tones, I tumble and drill upcycled glass bottles right in my studio. The glass catches the light like soft early morning sunlight filtering through trees.  The goal is to transform  rigid glass into a flowing stream of color creating a fluid, dancing display. I hand-knot sturdy cream cord into four decorative arms, suspending them from a hand-woven macramé crown and circular hoop. I hand-tie each piece of glass with gold metal beads and finish every line with enameled butterflies and soft pink glass flowers, capturing the fleeting magic of summer.
