Bring the soothing rhythms of the ocean into your space with "The Dance of the Whales - handcrafted hanging mobile designed to catch light and movement effortlessly.
The glass is from discarded bottles tumbled and drilled in-studio in shades of cobalt blue and frosty blue. My multi-layered waterfall design uses upcycled, cobalt and medium blue glass that catches the light just like moving water. I love how the rigid glass takes on such a fluid feel. The glass is from discarded bottles tumbled and drilled in-studio—to capture the colors of the sea. I hand-knot sturdy cream cord into four decorative arms, finishing each with a glass flower and butterfly. Suspended from a hand-woven macramé crown and circular hoop cascading glass falls delicately. It is interspersed with whimsical miniature whales, dolphins, and ocean charms are each individually hand-tied and secured with glass beads.
