MERMAID handcrafted glass suncatcher.

My designs starts  by wrapping an 8-inch circular metal ring with a white macrame cord. Inside this ring I suspend the macrame web.  The web creates the structure that holds the heart of the design.  The swirls of frosted blue and white glass captures the ethereal grace of crashing ocean waves. Within the blue glass you will discover silver shells. fish and resting mermaids.   I craft the glass from white and blue discarded bottles; tumbling and drilling each piece in my studio. I then hand-tie every piece individually securing it with a silver bead Cascading down from the hoop are five delicate strands adorned with tumbled glass pieces, tiny starfish beads, and metallic sea accents—including a charming mermaid silhouette.
