PARLIAMENT OF OWLS Handcrafted Tree of Life
I handcraft this Tree of Life for nature lovers, owl collectors, or anyone seeking a unique suncatcher. It brings earthy tranquility to any room.
Spiritually, owls represent sharp intuition, inner clarity, and trust in your instincts.
I begin by covering a 10-inch wire ring with rich green cord. Inside the ring, I construct a birch-white tree. Its trunk gracefully anchors sweeping macramé branches. This provides the structure to attach the glass and charms. I source the glass from discarded bottles in soothing shades of forest green, deep teal, and soft sage. I tumble and drill each piece right in my studio.
Each piece is individually hand-tied using silver tone beads. At the bottom, the piece transitions into delicate macramé fringe. I stud the fringe with light-catching beads for added texture and movement. Perched among the branches and resting at the base, a gathered group—a "parliament"—of detailed bronze and silver owl charms creates a whimsical, storybook feel.
